Chris Ford For Mayor – Public Statement

The Chris Ford For Mayor campaign is grateful for the support that it has received in this humorous adventure. To understand the campaign, one must have a bit of imagination: imagine that South Burlington has a mayor. Imagine that Chris is already the incumbent. But also… imagine that you could look at a political sign and smile. The campaign hopes that we imagine the best about our town and about ourselves.

Shortly after our first campaign signs appeared, the Vermont Daily Chronicle ran an article, “Who Is Chris Ford?” Allow us to answer that question. In some ways, Chris Ford is a regular guy: he loves his family, cares for his friends, and supports his community. But in that, we might find another answer. Do you love your family and friends? Do you support your community? Perhaps you volunteer in town, for the school board, the boosters, the food shelf, or any community organization. If so, then you too are- in a way- Chris Ford.

So the next time you see a Chris Ford For Mayor sign, we hope you smile. Because as a political campaign, it’s ridiculous. But we also hope that you think about your community. And take a moment to be grateful for this great place. Perhaps think about how you can help. And definitely join us in thanking the very real people, who do the very real jobs, to make South Burlington and Vermont so damn special.

Next up… Chris Ford for Town Manager of West Burlington.
